   May 04,  · My copy of this is utterly ruined by a continuous wall of feedback from beginning to end throughout the entire course of the album. This is the record I play (loudly) when I want to forget that I suffer from tinnitus. Inexplicably overrated once you factor out the massive hype that surrounded the Jesus and Mary chain at the time of this release/5().

   Arguably Psychocandy is an album with one trick and one trick alone -- Beach Boys melodies meet Velvet Underground feedback and beats, all cranked up to ten and beyond, along with plenty of echo.
