   Booker Ervin is a strong, powerful, earthy, bluesy player. He repeats himself a lot, and seems to have a relatively small vocabulary of riffs, scales and patterns, all of which he uses brilliantly. Randy Weston's Cry Me Not is Strayhorn - esque and beautiful. The opener, A /5(26).
